Pre-purchase review
The Model X's electric drivetrain is durable, but the car is known for build-quality niggles rather than mechanical failures. The Falcon Wing doors are the headline concern: their sensors and actuators can misalign, and repairs are complex, so test every door repeatedly for smooth, rattle-free operation. Panel gaps, trim rattles and occasional water ingress around the doors appear on some cars.

US Model X cars run US-market lighting and a mph-primary display (km/h is selectable).
Approval usually centres on lighting compliance (headlight beam pattern, rear fog lamp presence, indicator colour) and a km/h speed display, which Tesla software provides.
